Thankful and grateful for everything we have—shelter to live in, clothes to wear, and food to eat. We are truly fortunate, and our hearts go out to the many people who are suffering in the freezing cold. May they be safe and warm throughout the winter season.
This Thanksgiving turned into an especially meaningful and heartfelt day. A special thanks to Patrick and Hui-chuan for joining the Palbar Ling Center’s Thursday homeless offering. As always, we tried our very best to bring a sense of Thanksgiving and holiday warmth to our street friends.
Today we offered brand-new blankets, soda, bananas, granola bars, chocolate bars, chips, nail clippers, bags, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and a small snowman gift for the holiday spirit. Everyone was so happy and full of smiles.
Heartfelt thanks to Hui-chuan and her friends for sponsoring today’s offering. It was a true blessing and very much needed for those living on the streets. I’m sure many will have a warmer night with their new blankets.
May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
