Today marked the final offering of the Snake Year as we served our homeless brothers and sisters in Skid Row. With this heartfelt offering, we would like to wish everyone a joyful Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse with hope and renewed aspiration.
May this new year bring abundant happiness and peace to all.
May everyone walk on the right path in life.
May all families, friends, and relatives be blessed by the Triple Gems.
Today we were able to offer a wide variety of essential and meaningful items. These included combs, toothbrushes, shaving razors, nail clippers, bags, socks, sleeping bags, blankets, and clothing generously brought by Hui-Chuan. We sincerely thank her for her kindness and compassion.
Heartfelt thanks to Trang and David for preparing so many homemade cream cheese bagels, and donating donuts, chocolate bars, energy bars, and Yahoo chocolate drinks. Thank you to Ha Chau for donating muffins and cakes.
Special thanks to Hsia Bro and the Tzu Chi Foundation for donating large quantities of clothes, soap, shoes, and blankets. In addition, we purchased muffins, croissants, water, bananas, and candies to distribute.
Hundreds of people received these offerings, and their smiles and gratitude deeply touched our hearts.
Thank you to Ha, Huynh, Tuyet, Trang, and their friends for supporting today’s event. And last but not least, our deepest appreciation to all our amazing volunteers. Your hard work and dedication brought warmth and dignity to many during difficult times. Because of you, many people were able to smile.
